I am really looking forward to March 14th, as that's the evening we get our pictures taken with the Mr. Cooper!  I honestly don't know why we didn't get them when he was new, but he'll be 9 weeks old, so he'll still be pretty new.  :)  I have a ton of friends who use Jennifer Jayne Photography, http://www.jenniferjayne.com/, and I'm really looking forward to how our pictures willl turn out since all of theirs were adorable.  I would have chosen our photographer from our wedding, but she basically specializes in wedding and engagement photos outdoors.  It's a few weeks away, so the shopping needs to begin soon.  :)

And tomorrow night is kickboxing again.  I really look forward to taking this class because it really does make me feel like I got a good workout.  It feels so good to sweat and it's been a long time.  :)  I basically was dormant the entire pregnancy and now it just feels so good to get out.  I need to start going to the Y more often to lose this baby weight I'm carrying around.  It's so hard for me to see it on me again since a few years ago I had lost 35 lbs and was able to keep it off.  And it's back.  I realize it took my body 9 months to get this way and it's going to take some time to get it somewhat back to the way I was before.  But, what frustrates me the most, is that I have a closet full of work clothes and I don't fit into a single one and I'm going  back to work in 3 weeks.  So, I really need to buckle down and commit to going to the Y more than a few times here and there.  That's my goal anyway.

And in Cooper news, he gets more and more alert every day and he's the biggest smiler.  He smiles at all times of the day and it just melts my heart.   I love that little boy more than life itself and the other day at 3am, as he was just about to take his bottle, he smiled at me and it was just the sweetest little thing I've ever seen.  It's so crazy to go from one day not having a child, to the next day you have a son and your whole world changes in an instant.  But, in a weird way, it doesn't feel any different and it seems like he's been a part of our lives forever.  I wouldn't change anything and I'm so glad that I finally know what it feels like to be a mom.  :)

Big Boy!

Yesterday, Jason and I went to the Outdoor Show in the QC's and looked around at boats, lures, charting fishing vendors, and many other things.  We had a great time and Cooper was a champ.  He slept the majority of the time and woke up for a feeding.  And he looked adorable, if I must say so myself.  :)  He had on a camo onesie and his OshKosh blue jean bibs...so, so, so cute. :)

Afterward, we went to Babies R Us and bought 2 184 count boxes of size 2 diapers for the future.  So, this morning, Jason asked if maybe the size 2 would fit him.  I told hime that we had a small package of size 2's open in the bathroom and we could try it if he wanted to.  And we did and they fit!  We were so surprised.  So, I wondered if maybe he fit into the next size of clothing and went downstairs and picked out a 3-6 month outfit and it fit.  I'm a little sad as my little guy is growing up.  :(

And this morning, Jason and I woke up at 5:30am and not because Cooper was up, because Cooper hadn't woken up since 11:30pm last night!  We were thrilled, but a little scared as this was the first time it's happened and we were worried that something was wrong, but nope!  He was out like a light!

And here's Coop in his 3-6 month outfit!  :)

Cooper John

Well, it's been a while since I've blogged, but I guess I have a good reason.  :)  Cooper John was born by c-section on Wednesday, January 12th, 2011 at 1:22am.  He weighed 8 lbs 15.9 oz and was 21 inches long.  He was/is the most adorable thing we've ever laid eyes on and just love him to pieces.  The first 2 nights were very hard, but Jason and I are taking it all in stride and getting more used to it.  We have since taken him to the doctor 3 different times since he's been born and at the first 2 appointments, he had lost a combination of 9 oz.  Not gaining at all.  So, the scared mother that I am, I immediately started supplementing and at our appointment yesterday, he had gained 20 oz in 6 days!!!  I was beyond thrilled and so happy to see that our little angel was gaining weight.  And he's grown a half inch too.  Currently he's sleeping on my chest as I type and I think that's my favorite thing so far.  I just love holding him and loving him....I didn't realize how much I could love someone.  Not that I don't love Jason, but it's a different kind of love for your child.  Last night I decided that Jason and I were going to get some sleep and slept downstairs and put Coop in the swing.  He slept from 10:30-11:30, woke up for a feeding, slept from midnight to 3:30, and then from 4-7:30.  I feel like a new woman and Jason slept through the entire night for once.

I'm finally getting a chance to update this post and it's not Feb. 7th.  There is just not enough time in the day for all of things that I want or need to get done, but I guess that's just how it's going to be for a while.  :)

Cooper is almost 1 month old and I never imagined how fast it would go!  It seems just like yesterday that I had him.  Things have been going pretty good.  Last night was a little rough...Cooper decided he was going to fuss the entire night and neither he nor I got any sort of sleep.  We did take a cat-nap this morning and I feel a little better.  I should be sleeping now as he's sleeping, but I want to do other things.  But, I think in a few minutes, I'll get to that one too.  A couple of weeks ago, I took the little guy in to Jason's work and showed everyone our little boy.  Of course they all enjoyed him and wanted to hold him.  Who doesn't love babies in general?  And we ventured out to church yesterday for the first time since we've had him and he did wonderful!  Didn't even make a peep and he was just the best little guy ever.  We know we'll have our screaming moments in church when we won't be able to even stay, but we were so proud of him.

I/we have never had so many problems getting insurance figured out, but I think we've got it.  Cooper is having claims filed against him and he wasn't on my insurance yet, so we were getting calls about that and bills having to pay in full.  He should be getting added soon as well as Jason.  And Jason was really worried that we would have to end up paying a nice chunk and my insurance called him back last Friday and let him know that they cover 100% of maternity!  We were beyond thrilled.  Awesome news.

And one last thing about Coop....he has these little tantrums when he doesn't like something and yells out this high whiney sound.  It's actually really cute and lasts about 3 seconds.  :)  Such a sweet little guy.
