sneak peek

Jason and I had pictures taken of Cooper and a few of us on March 14th and here are few pictures from that shoot.  There are still a lot more to come, but I'll post them when we receive the CD, hopefully this week. 

the blowout

Cooper has had a few blowouts, but nothing compared to the one he had this morning.  Usually I can handle the smell of poop and getting poop on a finger or two accidently, but I was not prepared for what he did today.  I was feeding him his bottle and I noticed that he was doing number two and after I sat him up to burp him the first time, that's when the gagging started.  I had poop, thick poop, all over my hand/fingers, jeans, Cooper had it up his back, etc.  I stood up and yelled for Jason to come help because it was oozing out.  Jason had to first clean me up, then he grabbed Cooper to throw him in the tub.  I couldn't help because I was running all over the house gagging and just looking at it on my fingers made the gagging worse.  I finally took a deep breath and could control myself.  I went upstairs to help Jason give Coop a bath and all was better then.  Goodness....that was a doozy.

First Day Back

Today was my first day back to work and it actually went really good!  I had my breakdown last night until midnight and it didn't help that while I was attempting to cut Cooper's fingernails, he moved on me and I accidently cut his skin. I cried, he cried, it was all a mess.  But, we both survived.  :)  My saving grace at work today was all of the other mothers that I work with and it helped that I took many, many pictures of my baby boy.  But, I still wish I could stay home and raise him.  I think I'll always wish this, but I know I have to continue to work.  Still, I can always hope.  :)

2 Month Checkup

Cooper had his 2 month checkup this morning and here are the stats:

Weight: 12 lbs 10 oz (76th percentile)
Height: 23 1/2 inches (76th percentile)
Head Circumference: Don't exactly know the measurement (79th percentile) this kid has his dad's big noggin' :) Just kiddin'.

He was sucking away on his pacifier and then the nurse stuck him with the first needle and oh my goodness...this child screamed and screamed and turned as red as a tomato. I was afraid he was going to hold his breath and pass out like I used to do when I was little, but daddy and mommy calmed him down. After that, he was good to go and all smiles!

Ordering Prints from Link

I was just playing around with the link named 'Cooper' with all of his pictures that I upload, and if you'd like to order any of them, there is a tab at the top titled 'Prints'. Once you hover over it with your mouse, you can add prints to your cart. You just have to be on the specific photo and add that one at that time. Once you're done, just go up to the top where it says 'Cart Photos' in yellow and click on view. It will display which photos you have selected and on the left, you can select where you'd like it printed from. One of the choices is Walgreens and you can either have them shipped to your house or go and pick them up at the store. You can also have them shipped to your house from any of the others, but I just wanted to point Walgreens out since that store is in most towns. Once you decide where you'd like to order your photos from, you can select the finish and size. Just thought I'd let everyone know in case you wanted a specific photo of the Poop Scoop!!!

Thank You Lord...

...for answering my prayers last night. :) We had a rough day yesterday with this child waking up very early from his naps and I was seriously worried what the night was going to bring. And then after kickboxing last night, whatever I ate, did not agree with me and I was so sick. Jason and I were both worried that it was going to be a long night with Jason being up all hours and then having to go to work today. But it turns out, the Lord answered my prayers and Cooper slept for 9 straight hours. Thanks again! :)

Baptism Date

While the little boy is finally sleeping upstairs, I will update family on the baptism date.  While we threw around Sunday, May 8th, the date is now going to be Saturday, May 7th.  I wasn't sure if Jason had contacted everyone, but thought this would be a way to let family know.  It will be at St. Mathias Catholic Church (the same place we were married at) at the 5pm mass.  We will have a dinner afterward somewhere in town, just not sure where exactly.  So, mark your calendars for that day!  We are so excited to get Cooper baptized!
